A recent interview featuring Alex of Mighty Tanaka and the work from our September show entitled “Iconography”.  One of the first on-camera interviews at Mighty Tanaka, we talk about the impact of the monthly 1st Thursday Gallery Walk in DUMBO

Curated Mag was tipped off to the opening of “Hybridism” and asked for photographs in order to feature on their website.  A nice little bit of exposure for an upcoming gallery.  (Thanks, Adri!)

Filmmaker Cano Rojas came out to film a time-lapse mural by JMR at a pop-up gallery location in Manhattan.  The video was quickly picked up by Wooster Collective, which propelled JMR onto the minds of street art enthusiasts around the world.

Complex Magazine sent a photographer to our October show entitled “Cimmerian Shade” to cover the work by erotic photographer Ellen Stagg.  However, one there, he discovered a whole shows worth of exciting and inspirational artwork by all the artists involved.

Before Mighty Tanaka was a gallery, we curated independent art at established galleries or pop-up locations.  In June, 2009, Ali Ha of Factory Fresh allowed Mighty Tanaka to have an art show in their space.  The show, “2012”, was one of the most labor-intensive shows to date.

An article on Brooklyn Street Art announcing the premier show at Mighty Tanaka entitled “Hybridism”.  Our show opened the same weekend as Art Basel Miami, and was still able to draw a sizable crowd.  Good times!

Great photographs and a nice shout out about our September show “Iconography”
